Patil Store

Patil Store is our little shop in Goregaon East. We’ve been serving the neighborhood for years now, mostly selling groceries and daily essentials. If you need some rice, sugar, or maybe some spices for dinner, we usually have it on the shelves. Goregaon East is a crowded area, so there’s always someone coming or going. I start my day by checking what’s running low and making a list for the suppliers. It’s a lot of lifting heavy bags and stacking cans, which keeps me active, I guess. We aren’t a big supermarket with bright lights and air conditioning. It’s just a regular store where the fan hums in the corner and we know our customers by their faces. Sometimes people stop by just to complain about the weather or the traffic while they buy their biscuits. We have a small staff, mostly family, and we all pitch in. The floor is made of old tiles and the counter is worn down from years of use, but it does the job. Goregaon is home for us, and the store is part of that. We don’t do anything fancy, just make sure people can get their kitchen staples without having to go too far. It’s hard work, especially during the festive seasons when everyone wants sweets and special ingredients, but we like being here in the community. It's a simple life at Patil Store.
