Patel Machine Tools

Down in Andheri East, we’ve got our little spot for Patel Machine Tools. It's a busy part of the city, and we are right in the middle of it. We spend our days looking at different types of machinery and helping people find the right parts. It's not a large place, but we manage to fit a lot of stock into the cupboards and shelves we have. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal dust, no matter how much we sweep. Customers come in with all sorts of questions about their lathes or grinders. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. It’s just a standard shop where we know the name of almost everyone who walks in. The air feels heavy with the scent of iron and grease. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out while talking to the shop owner next door. We’ve been in Andheri for a long time, and we’ve seen the buildings grow up around us. We don't change much, though. We still use the same old ledger for our accounts and keep our tools in the same bins. It’s a steady kind of work. We aren't trying to be anything other than a reliable place for machine bits. If we don’t have it, we usually know who does.
