Parimals Kitchen

People usually find us here at Shop No 3 in Dahisar when they are walking past the main row of stores. It is not a very big place, but we spend most of our time in the back where the actual cooking happens. My hands always smell like onions or some kind of spice by the end of the day, and that is just how it goes when you run a kitchen. We started Parimals Kitchen because we needed something to do that felt real, and feeding people in the neighborhood seemed right. Sometimes the stove acts up or the delivery guy is late, which makes things a bit hectic, but we manage. Most mornings start around six when the vegetables arrive. We wash everything, chop what needs chopping, and get the pots going. It gets quite hot in here during the afternoon, especially in the summer months. We don’t have fancy menus or those expensive digital screens you see in the mall. It’s just us and the food. If you live around Dahisar, you probably know the building. We have a few regulars who come by every single day for their usual order, and we know their names now. It is nice to see familiar faces. The floors get messy, and we are constantly cleaning up, but that is part of the job. We just keep our heads down and work. There isn't much more to it than that. We just focus on the orders we have and making sure the food is ready.
