Parag Enterprises at 157/2Nd Narayan Dhuru Street. Our place is on the second floor of 157 Narayan Dhuru Street. This street is the heart of the hardware trade, and it’s always buzzing with energy. Getting to the second floor is a bit of a trek, especially on hot days when the humidity is high. Parag Enterprises is a small setup. We have shelves that reach almost to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of items. It’s a bit cramped, to be honest. We have a small desk where we handle the billing and the phone calls. The building is old, and you can hear the sounds of other businesses through the walls. We have a small window that lets in some light, but it’s mostly artificial lights inside. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know most of the other traders on the street. It’s a community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy brochures. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for years and people know we’ve been around. Sometimes we stay late to count the stock or organize the shelves. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting boxes and moving things around. We drink a lot of tea to keep going. It’s not an easy job, but it’s what we do, and we’re content with it. The noise of the handcarts on the street below is like background music to us now.
