My office is at Plot No-17 in Sai Shanti Bhawan, over in Sector-19. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to some other sectors around here. I’ve been doing this for a few years now. I mostly work by myself, though sometimes my nephew helps out with the filings and answering the phone when I'm out. Sector-19 has a lot of different types of properties, and I try to keep a handle on what's going on in each block. People come by looking for advice on whether to sell now or wait a bit. I don't have any secret information, just what I see happening on the streets every day. I spend a lot of my time meeting people at the plots or waiting for them to show up for a viewing. Sometimes they're late, which is just how it goes in this city. I have a lot of files piled up on my desk, mostly old agreements and maps of the sector that are starting to curl at the edges. I try to be practical about things. If a property is overpriced, I'll tell the owner straight out. It doesn't help anyone to have a listing sit there for months on end. I know the local shops and where the parks are, so I can answer basic questions for people moving in. It’s a steady kind of life, just helping people with their housing.
