Pali General Stores

You can find us over at Junction 44 in Bandra West, right in the Varsha Cooperative Housing Society. It’s Shop Number 3. We are pretty much across the way from Jute Bakery, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. Pali General Stores is just your typical neighborhood shop. We keep the shelves stocked with the usual things people need every day. It’s not a huge place, so things can get a bit crowded when a few neighbors come in at the same time. We’ve been part of this community for a bit, and we know most of the people who walk through the door. The shop is small but we try to make use of every inch of space we have. Sometimes the delivery boxes are sitting in the aisle for a few minutes while we unload them. That’s just how it goes here. We don’t have any big corporate backing or anything like that. It’s just a local store where you can grab what you need and have a quick chat. The morning rush is usually the busiest time when everyone is getting stuff for breakfast or school lunches. Later in the evening, it’s mostly people picking up things they forgot on their way home. We keep things simple and just try to be there when the locals need something. It’s a honest way to make a living and we like being in the Bandra West area near the Passion building.
