Padmshri Sarees

At Padmshri Sarees, we are located in Mastan Manzil, which is part of Clarion Park on D P Road in Dadar East. Dadar is a place that never really sleeps, and there is always something going on outside our door. Our shop is at B-127. It’s a comfortable space, not too big and not too small. We have a lot of sarees, mostly traditional styles that people in this area prefer. We spend a lot of our day sitting on the floor with customers, unfolding different fabrics so they can see the patterns. It’s a lot of work on the back, but we’re used to it. The building is a bit older, so sometimes the plumbing acts up or the hallway is a bit dark, but once you’re inside the shop, it’s bright and filled with colors. We don't do any big promotions or sales. People usually find us through word of mouth. A grandmother will bring her granddaughter here because that’s where she bought her own wedding saree years ago. It’s nice to see families coming back like that. We keep a fan going all day to deal with the Dadar heat. Sometimes we close for a bit in the afternoon for a nap or a quiet lunch. It’s just a regular local business run by people who know their cloth and like to talk to their neighbors. We just keep things simple.
