We are located in the old Bombay Talkies Compound in Malad West, at unit 22-A. P P Dies Tools has been around this area for many years now. This compound has a lot of history, but these days it’s mostly small shops and workshops like ours. We work with dies and tools, which is heavy and tiring work. The floor is usually stained with oil and there’s metal shavings everywhere by noon. We sweep up every evening before we go home, but it’s back to the same the next morning. It’s a busy life. Malad West is a crowded area, so getting here in the morning takes some patience with the traffic. We have a few old machines that still work better than the newer ones we bought. We know their quirks, like which one needs a little tap on the side to start. It’s just a handful of us here. We don’t do a lot of talking while we work because the machines are too loud to hear anything anyway. We eat our lunch together in the corner near the small window. It’s a simple routine that we've followed for a long time. We don’t have a sales team or a marketing person. If you want something, you just come to the door and ask for us. We’re honest about the time it takes to make a tool properly. We don't rush because we want the job to be done right the first time.
