We are located in the Mumbai Market area of Charkop. This is a very busy part of the neighborhood, and there is always noise from the street coming into the shop. We’ve been serving food here for quite a while now. The kitchen stays active starting from early in the morning when the first deliveries of vegetables arrive. You won't find much in the way of decoration, just some basic tables and chairs and a few old pictures on the walls. The space gets a bit tight, especially when the lunch crowd arrives all at once. Fancy systems for taking orders don't exist here; we mostly just shout them back to the cooks over the sound of the exhaust fans. Since the steam makes the floor a bit slippery, we’re always mopping it down. As a family business, you’ll usually see my cousins or my uncle around the place. The food is made the way we like to eat it at home, without trying to make it look like something out of a hotel. It involves a lot of hard work and long hours standing on our feet. Even with the market outside crowded with trucks and people, we like the energy of it. It’s an honest place where you can get a full meal and a bit of conversation.
