Oshian Chinese Sai Fast Food

Oshian Chinese Sai Fast Food is over in Mulund East. It’s not a very big place, just a small kitchen really. We spend most of our time standing over the big woks with the fire turned up high. You can smell the garlic and soy sauce from down the street when we get going in the evening. It gets quite hot in there, especially when the orders for noodles and manchurian start coming in all at once. We don't have any fancy seating or waitstaff in uniforms. People usually just stand around or take their food home in plastic containers. We’ve been here in this part of Mulund for a good while now. We know the regulars who come by after work, tired and looking for something quick to eat. We don't use any special secret recipes, just the way we've always cooked it. Sometimes we run out of certain vegetables by the end of the night if it’s been busy. The floor gets a bit slippery from the steam, so we have to be careful when moving around. We don't have a manager in a suit or anything like that. It’s just a few of us trying to keep the stove running and the food moving. We aren't trying to win any awards or be the top spot in town. We just want to get the food out hot and fast so people can go about their day. It’s a noisy, busy little corner and we like it that way.
