Omax Traders

We are set up at Plot Number 122 on Kika Street in Vile Parle East. It’s right near the railway crossing, so we hear the trains going by all day long. You get used to the vibration after a while, it almost feels like a heartbeat for the shop. As Omax Traders, we handle a lot of different goods, mostly whatever our customers are looking for at the time. The space is pretty packed with boxes and crates, leaving just enough room to walk through. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. The street outside is always buzzing with people and scooters, especially during the rush hour. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door when it’s a heavy monsoon, so we have to move the stock around. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that, it's just us answering the phone and writing down orders. The fan in the main room squeaks, but it keeps the air moving. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. It’s a local kind of business where we know most of the faces that walk through the door. Just a typical day at the office for us.
