Our office is Shop No 4, right across from the Heera Panna Shopping Centre in Andheri West. It is a hectic part of town, especially being near City International. There is always someone looking for a flat or a commercial space around here. We have been sitting in this shop for quite a while now. The space is small, but it is enough for a couple of desks and some chairs for visitors. We don't have fancy carpets or expensive coffee machines. Usually, it is just us and a few files of whatever is available in the neighborhood. Andheri is expensive and crowded, so we spend a lot of time explaining why the rents are what they are. People come in stressed out because they can't find anything, and we just try to show them what we have on the books. It is a lot of walking back and forth between buildings to check out flats. We know most of the security guards and the building secretaries in this area. That helps when someone wants to see a place quickly. Sometimes we just sit outside the shop and watch the traffic go by while waiting for a client. It is a busy life, but it is what we know. We just take things as they come and try to be helpful to anyone who walks in the door.
