Om Sai Fast Food

Om Sai Fast Food sits in the Mahalaxmi area of HRBR Layout. It isn’t a big restaurant where you sit for hours. Most people are in a hurry. They stop their bikes, get their food, and go. Or they stand by the counter and eat while talking. It gets pretty busy in the evenings. The lights from the street are bright. We have a small team here. Everyone does a bit of everything. One minute you're taking an order, the next you're helping out with the packing. We don’t have a big menu. Just things we know how to make well. Sometimes we run out of stuff before the night ends. That happens when the crowd is bigger than we thought. The kitchen area is tight. We've learned to work around each other without getting in the way. It’s noisy with the sound of the stove and people calling out orders. We keep things simple. No fancy napkins or expensive plates. It’s just fast food. People come here when they don’t want to cook at home. We see a lot of the same people every week. It’s nice to know their names. We’re just part of the daily routine in this part of town. Just a small shop doing its thing day after day. It's a lot of work but it keeps us busy and we like the pace of the street.
