Olive Bar & Kitchen

We are tucked away at 14 Darpan Five Roads in Khar. It’s a bit of an interesting spot because of how the roads meet up right near us. Olive Bar & Kitchen has its own way of doing things. The building has a bit of age to it, which we like. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and at the bar, just keeping things moving. Khar is a busy neighborhood, but our little corner feels a bit different. The staff here is mostly local people who’ve been with us for a while. We don't have a big manual on how to talk to people; we just try to be decent and helpful. Sometimes the plumbing gives us a bit of trouble or a lightbulb flickers, but we fix it and keep going. It’s a practical place. We focus on the food and the drinks without making a big fuss about it. The tables are set up in a way that makes sense for the space we have. On rainy days, the atmosphere changes quite a bit, and we have to move things around to keep everyone dry. We aren't part of some massive chain. We are just a local Khar business trying to do a good job every day. It’s hard work, but seeing people enjoy their time here makes it worth the effort. We just keep the doors open and do our bit. It isn't perfect, but it is home to us and we've grown to love the quirks of the building.
