Goregaon East is a very busy part of Mumbai. We have our office in Meenaxi Tower at room 1007. Nikhiraj Wood Product handles all sorts of timber and wood related business from this location. Being up on the tenth floor we have a decent view of the city but we are usually too busy to look out the window much. The office is always full of samples like different types of plywood and veneers. It smells like sawdust and glue most of the time which we have grown used to. We are not a big corporate firm with fancy uniforms or anything. Most of us just wear regular jeans and shirts to work. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and designers who need specific materials for their building projects. The lift in Meenaxi Tower is often crowded especially during the lunch hour when everyone is heading out. We usually just order some food from the small canteen downstairs and eat at our desks. The business has its ups and downs depending on the construction season in the city. We do not have a marketing team to find us work. We just rely on the quality of the wood we get and the fact that we have been around for a long time. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed at the port and we spend the whole day on the phone. (245 words)
