The building we are in is one of those classic structures that you see all over this district. It has a small lift and narrow hallways that have seen a lot of years. Inside, we have our office where we handle all the import and export details. It is a simple setup with desks, computers, and plenty of storage for all the documents we have to manage. We aren't big on decoration; it is just a place where the work happens. Being on Maharshi Karve Road means we are right in the middle of the city's movement. You can hear the traffic and the sirens throughout the day. Getting here is easy for most of us because we just jump on the Western Line and get off at Marine Lines station. It is a short walk from there. We spend our hours here dealing with the usual business calls and paperwork. When the day is over, we walk back out into the busy streets of South Mumbai. It is a very typical way of working in this city, and we have been at this address long enough that it feels like a second home.
