Naughty Sips N Slices

Tilak Road is a busy place, and being right here in Jalaram Nagar 1 makes us part of that Khau Galli energy. We are at Vallabhbaug Lane, which most people know is the place to go if you are hungry. The name Naughty Sips N Slices is a bit silly, but it stuck. We mostly deal with slices of pizza and different kinds of drinks. It’s a small shop, so there isn't much room to move around behind the counter. We are usually bumping into each other when it gets busy in the evening. The Khau Galli crowd is loud and always looking for something quick to eat while they walk around. We have some stools outside, but they are usually taken by the time the sun goes down. We spend a lot of time cleaning up the wrappers and napkins that people drop. The oven stays on for most of the day, so it’s always warm inside. We started this because we wanted to be in the middle of the food scene here. It’s not a fancy restaurant with waiters; you just come up to the window and tell us what you want. Sometimes the order takes a bit longer if the power fluctuates, which happens more than we’d like. But people around here are patient. We’re just local people trying to make a go of it in a very competitive street. That is our daily life here in lane four.
