Our office is right there in Mangal Gyan on 12th Road, which is a pretty busy part of Khar West. It’s not a very big space, but it’s where we do all our work every day. We’ve been at this same address for quite a while now. Most days are spent sitting at the desks with papers spread out and the ceiling fan humming overhead. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but you get used to it. People just walk in when they are looking for a flat or a shop to rent in the neighborhood. We don't have any fancy receptionists or coffee machines. Usually, we just offer a glass of water and start looking through our files to see what is available. Khar is changing so fast with new buildings popping up on every corner, so we try to keep our lists updated as best as we can. Sometimes we are out most of the afternoon showing people around different sites. It gets tiring in the Mumbai heat, but that’s just how the business goes. We know the local shopkeepers and the people living in the nearby lanes. Most of our work comes from people just knowing who we are. We aren't a big corporate firm with a lot of polished talk. We just show you what we have and tell you the rent or the price. That is basically it.
