We are located at 3/Prakash, 32 Kalanagar, in Bandra East, Mumbai. The building is called Prakash, and it’s a typical Mumbai structure. Being in Bandra East means we are close to the heart of things, but Kalanagar itself has its own specific rhythm. The office is a bit tight on space, as is common in Mumbai. We’ve had to be clever with how we arrange our desks and storage cabinets to make sure everyone has a spot to work. It can get quite humid, so the fans are almost always spinning. We have a few windows that look out towards other buildings. You can hear the hum of the city all day long, from the trains to the distant traffic. Our workspace is filled with the tools of our trade—rolls of paper, measuring tapes, and a lot of notebooks. The walls have some marks from where we’ve moved furniture around over the years. We have a small corner for a fridge and a kettle because you can't get through the day without tea. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s a working office where people are busy and things are constantly moving. We know the local chai wallah and the people in the neighboring offices. It’s a bit worn around the edges, but it’s our home base. We like the fact that it feels lived-in and productive. It’s just a regular Bandra office.
