M/S Raut General Stores

Our shop, M/S Raut General Stores, is located in the Karm Vihar Building. It's shop number 12, part of Eagle Chs Limited on Yashwant Jadhav Marg. Ghatkopar East is where we spend our days. The space is a bit tight with all the boxes piled up. We have things tucked into every corner. It’s just how these small stores go. Most of the time, I’m behind the counter checking what needs to be ordered for next week. The building itself is easy to find if you know the area. We see a lot of the same people every morning. They come in for bread or soap or whatever they ran out of at home. Dealing with suppliers on Yashwant Jadhav Marg can be a bit of a headache with the parking, but we get it done. The shelves are a bit old, maybe they need a fresh coat of paint, but they hold the weight. We don't have fancy displays. We just put the items where they fit. Sometimes the cat from next door wanders in and we have to shoo it out. It’s a quiet routine for the most part. Life in Ghatkopar is fast, but inside the shop, things feel a bit slower. We just keep the inventory moving and talk to the regulars about the weather or the local news. It’s just a regular place for regular errands. We try to keep everything in stock, even if space is low here at Karm Vihar.
