Mr Nagesh Palekar

My place is in Goregaon East, specifically Room No 2 in the Badshsah Pavwala Chawl. It is right near the Western Express Highway, so the traffic noise is just part of the day here. You can see Oberoi Mall from not too far away, which makes it easier to tell people where to go when they are looking for me. I have lived and worked here for quite a bit. It is a tight space, but it is home and where I handle my business. Mr Nagesh Palekar is the name on the door. It is a busy area, with lots of people moving back and forth all day long. Being in a chawl means you know your neighbors and everyone sees what everyone else is doing. I handle various tasks from this room. It is nothing like those big offices in the mall. Just a desk, some papers, and me. Sometimes the rains make the walk here a bit messy, but that is Mumbai for you. I am usually around most mornings. If I am not here, I am probably out meeting someone or running an errand nearby. People around here just call out if they need something. It is a simple setup. No fancy reception or anything like that. Just come to the chawl and ask for me. It has been this way for years and I do not see much changing anytime soon. It suits the way I work.
