Mishra Pan Bhandar

We are located at Mishra Pan Bhandar in the Gopal Palace building over in Nehrunagar 1 which is part of Kandivali. My day usually starts with checking the leaves to make sure they are fresh enough for the day because nobody wants a dry leaf. The shop is small and sits right there where people pass by on their way to other shops in Gopal Palace. Kandivali is always loud with traffic and people shouting but inside here it is mostly just the sound of the water splashing as I clean things up. I have a wooden box where I keep all the different ingredients and I have to refill the jars every few hours. People come by after their meals and they usually know exactly what they want so I do not have to ask too many questions. It is a simple routine of folding and tucking things into the leaves. Nehrunagar 1 has a lot of regulars who have been coming to this spot for years and they just stand around and talk for a few minutes before moving on. The counter gets a bit messy with the red stains and the bits of nut but I try to keep a rag handy to wipe it down. It is a small business and we do not have any fancy signs or big advertisements. We just stay open until late at night when the streets finally get a little bit quieter and the last few customers head home.
