We are based in Sujata Chambers, specifically in room number 111 at A. G. Marg, No. 3, in Masjid Bunder West. If you know anything about Masjid Bunder, you know it’s one of the most crowded and busiest places you could ever work in. There is a constant stream of trucks, laborers, and shoppers all squeezed into the same small roads. We’ve been operating Mehul Trading Co. from this building for years. Our office is small and filled to the ceiling with files and old records. We don't have a lot of space for anything extra. Most of our day is spent negotiating prices and making sure the goods are being loaded correctly at the docks or the warehouses. It’s a very fast-paced environment and you have to be on your toes or you’ll get left behind. We don't have time for corporate talk or fancy meetings. We just get on the phone, talk to the traders, and get the deals done. It’s a noisy, dusty, and sometimes exhausting place to work, but it’s where we belong. We usually grab a quick tea from the guy downstairs and eat our lunch at our desks while we work. It’s a very traditional way of trading, and we’ve been doing it like this for a long time. There is no nonsense here; we just do our jobs and go home at the end of the day. It is quite a life.
