Mehta Sales Corp. India is located at 3 Modi Chambers, right by the Opera House and Kennedy Bridge. It’s a very busy corner of the city. You can hear the trains and the cars all day long from our windows. Our office is in an older building, and the elevator sometimes has a mind of its own, so we usually just take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. Inside, we have rows of cabinets and some desks where we handle all our sales work. We mostly deal with parts and equipment that people in the auto industry need. It gets quite hectic when the phone starts ringing while two or three customers are standing at the counter. We try to help everyone as fast as we can, but sometimes there’s a bit of a wait. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and maybe a few photos of our families. It’s a practical place for practical work. Kennedy Bridge is always packed with traffic, so we tell our visitors to come early if they want to find a place to park nearby. Most of our clients have been coming to us for years, so they know the drill. We like the energy of being in such a central spot, even if it gets a bit overwhelming when the monsoon rain hits the bridge outside.
