If you've ever been down to Nagdevi Street, you know exactly what I'm talking about. It is one of those places in Masjid Bunder where you can barely move some afternoons because of all the carts and people. We are located at 57/59, right in the thick of it. Meher Enterprises has been operating from this same spot for a long time. The building is old, like most things in this part of Mumbai, and it has that specific smell of old wood and metal. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It's just a few desks and a lot of stock piled up wherever we can find room. Dealing with the logistics here is a headache every single day, but we've gotten used to it. The couriers know us, and the local loaders know exactly where to drop things off. Sometimes the rain makes it even more chaotic, but we just pull the shutters down a bit and keep working. My family has been in this trade for a couple of generations now. We don't do much advertising because most people who need us already know where to find us on Nagdevi Street. It’s a busy life, and by the time evening comes, we're usually pretty tired. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, just doing our bit and keeping the business running as best as we can.
