Maurya Traders

Maurya Traders is located at Shop Number 4 on P L Lokhande Marg. If you know Chembur West, you probably know where the police chowki is. We are right across from it. It’s a tight space, like most shops in this area, but we pack in as much as we can. Dealing with traders and customers all day keeps us on our toes. The traffic on this road can be a nightmare during rush hour, so we usually get our deliveries done early or really late. I’ve been working here for years and I know most of the shopkeepers on this block. We sell things that people actually use. No fluff. Sometimes the rain gets under the door when it pours heavy in Mumbai, but we’ve learned how to manage that. It’s a bit dusty because of the main road right outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. People stop by on their way home to pick up bits and pieces they need. We aren't some big corporation with a fancy website. It’s just a counter, some shelves, and us trying to make sure people get what they came for. Sometimes we run out of stock and have to wait for the truck to come from the warehouse, which can be frustrating for everyone. But that’s just how trading goes. We keep the ledger updated and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s a simple life here in Chembur.
