Marks Burqas & Abayas

Marks Burqas & Abayas is right on No. 9 Imamawada Road. We are directly opposite the Umer Farooq Masjid on Jail Road in the Dongri area. It’s a very busy neighborhood, and our shop is right in the middle of it all. We’ve been here for years, and most people around here know us. We specialize in modest wear, and we have a lot of different styles hanging up, though it can get a bit crowded in the narrow aisles. We don't have a fancy interior designer; we just put up racks where they fit. Usually, you’ll find us chatting with customers or helping someone find the right fabric. It's a small shop, so we have to use every inch of space, even the corners. Some days the street outside is so loud we can hardly hear each other, but we’re used to it. We do some of the stitching in the back, and you can always hear the machines going. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We don't have a big corporate plan. We just try to stock things that people in the community want to wear. If you come in, you'll probably see us drinking tea or folding stock. It’s just a simple, local shop doing its best to serve the neighborhood. We aren't trying to be a big chain, just a reliable spot in Dongri. Sometimes we stay open late when the festival season is near.
