Manish Malhotra

The shop is located in Khar West, specifically at Shop No 4 and 5 in the Vishnu Dham Building. It’s a good location in a very busy part of Mumbai. Being Manish Malhotra here means staying on top of a lot of different things at once. The space is not huge, but we have managed to fit everything we need into those two shop units. Most of my time is spent dealing with customers or checking on the work being done. It is a fast-paced environment because people in this part of town are always in a hurry. We don't have a corporate office feel here. It’s much more hands-on and practical. You might see stacks of fabric or boxes waiting to be moved, and there is always someone coming in to ask a question. We try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible. The staff I have are good people who have been with me for a while. We don't do any big advertising campaigns. Usually, people just see the shop while they are walking by or they hear about us from someone else in Khar. It gets pretty loud outside with the Mumbai traffic, but we are used to it by now. We open up in the late morning and stay open until the evening rush is over. It’s a lot of work, but it is what we do.
