Down here in Powai at number 194, we started Malvani Touch just to have something of our own. Powai is a big area with lots of high-rises and offices, but our little spot feels a bit more grounded than that. We are just a few people who enjoy cooking and being around food. We don't have a big corporate office or a PR person. It’s mostly just us handling the orders and making sure the kitchen stays clean. Some days the rain makes the street outside a bit messy, but people still find their way to us. We’ve got a couple of tables, though a lot of folks just grab something and head back to work or home. We try to keep things simple because that’s what we’re good at. We don't use any fancy tech, just a notebook and a phone usually. It’s been a learning process, figuring out how to balance everything, but we’re getting the hang of it now. The neighbors around 194 have been pretty kind to us since we opened. We aren't looking to grow into some huge chain. We just want to keep doing what we’re doing right here in Powai. It’s a lot of hours on our feet, but seeing a regular customer smile makes it feel okay. We’re just regular people trying to make a living and sharing a bit of what we know with the neighborhood. Hopefully, the food we make is enough to keep people coming back through the door.
