Laxmi Dresses

Laxmi Dresses is located at Shop No. 3 in the D. N. Centre over in Malad West, Mumbai. Being in Malad means it’s always crowded and there’s never a dull moment outside our door. Our shop is small, but we’ve packed a lot into it. We have racks of dresses everywhere you look, and sometimes it’s hard for two people to pass each other in the aisle. We’ve been here for quite a while now, and we know the rhythms of the building. Most of our day is spent helping people find what they need or organizing the stock that just came in. It’s not a high-end boutique with soft music and fancy carpets. It’s a practical shop for people who want something decent to wear without any fuss. The lighting isn't the best, and the air conditioning struggles on those really hot Mumbai days, but we make do. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until we’re done for the day. Sometimes we have a lot of regular customers coming in for a chat while they look around. We like the personal touch of a small shop. It’s a lot of work to keep everything tidy, but we do our best. It’s just a regular business run by regular people in a busy part of the city.
