Maloba Couture

Maloba Couture is located in Room No. 10 of the Yakub Khan Building. We are in the 2nd Nadiyaadwala Colony over in Malad West. It is a small room, to be honest. We have our sewing machines crammed in there along with all the fabrics and measuring tapes. It gets a bit tight when more than three people are working at the same time. The building is old and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it is where we have always been. We do not have a big storefront with windows or mannequins. Most of our work is done right there on the table in the middle of the room. We spend our days cutting cloth and talking about different designs. Malad is always busy, so there is a lot of noise outside from the rickshaws and people walking by. We do not use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just make clothes for people who ask us. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound, but it keeps us cool enough. We are just a small local business trying to make a living. We know most of our neighbors in the colony. It is not a glamorous life, but we like the work we do. We try to be helpful whenever someone comes to the door with a request.
