If you find yourself in Malad West, you might have seen the Atlanta Building. Our little space is Shop No 3. It’s not a very large office, but it fits what we need for the property consulting work we do every day. Being so close to Ryan International School means the mornings and afternoons are always noisy with buses and parents. Sometimes it’s a bit of a headache with the traffic, but it keeps the area feeling alive. I usually spend my time looking through listings or talking on the phone with owners who want to rent out their places. We don’t go in for big advertisements or flashy signs. Most of our work comes from people just walking in because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it because there is always something else to do. It’s a practical place. We have a computer that’s a few years old and some filing cabinets that stick a bit when you pull them. Dealing with houses and shops in Malad takes up most of the day. You meet all kinds of people, from young couples looking for their first small apartment to older folks who have been here since the area was much quieter. We just take things as they come and try to give honest answers when people ask what a place is worth.
