We operate out of Shamik Build in Andheri East, specifically using Flat No 1, 2, and 3. We are right by Dnyneshwari Park on Dighi Road. It’s a bit unusual being in a residential-style building, but it works for us. We’ve spread out across the three flats to make enough room for all the files and the people who work here. The rooms still feel a bit like a home, which actually makes it a comfortable place to spend the day. Since we are near the park, we sometimes hear the sounds of kids playing or people walking in the morning. Dighi Road can get quite noisy with all the auto-rickshaws and trucks passing by, but once you’re inside, it’s not too bad. We have desks tucked into corners and shelves lined with folders that have been here for years. The kitchen area in one of the flats is where we make our tea and coffee. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a practical space where we can focus. We’ve got some mismatched chairs and old curtains that keep the sun out in the afternoons. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and writing things down on pads. It’s a busy little spot in a crowded part of Mumbai, and we’ve gotten used to the quirks of the building, like the way the front door sometimes sticks when it’s raining.
