Our spot is on Saki Vihar Road, right across from the L&T Gate. Being so close to the New Cloth Market in Andheri East means it is always loud and busy outside. There are always trucks moving and people rushing around with rolls of fabric. The building we are in is quite old and the stairs are a bit narrow. Inside, we have kept things very basic. We have a lot of samples and stock taking up most of the room, so there is not much space to walk around. The floor is made of old tile and shows its age, but it does the job. It gets really dusty because of all the construction and traffic on the main road, so we are always dusting off the counters. We have a small staff and we have worked together for a long time, so we know where every single item is kept without having to look at a list. It is a practical kind of place. We do not spend money on fancy decorations or big lights. Most of our customers are people who are already working in the cloth trade and know us by word of mouth. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just sit by the window to use the natural light. It is just a normal, everyday business trying to get the work done in a busy part of town.
