We operate out of 604 in the A Wing of Vashveen Apartments. It’s on J P Road in the 7 Bungalows area of Andheri West. Being in an apartment building means things are a bit different than a storefront. Our kitchen is the heart of the place. There’s always something bubbling on the stove or someone chopping vegetables at the counter. The apartment has a lived-in feel, with boxes of supplies and big cooking pots stacked up. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s relatively quiet compared to the main junction, but you still hear the sounds of Andheri life. We spend a lot of time coordinating deliveries and making sure everything is packed right. The elevator in the A Wing gets a lot of use from us, especially when we’re moving heavy containers. We’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so we know the local markets where we get our fresh ingredients every morning. It’s not a corporate office with a reception desk. It’s more like a busy home where the work never really stops. We have our regulars who know where to find us. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the smell of onions frying, but mostly they’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the food ready. It’s a messy, busy, and honest way to make a living. We like being part of the 7 Bungalows community and seeing the familiar faces on J P Road.
