You can find us at Imperial Chambers on SS Taloni Marg in the Ballard Estate area. It’s one of those old, solid buildings that have been around forever. Our office doesn’t have the flashy look of a new tech startup, but it works for us. We’ve been involved in the machine tool industry for a long time, and we’ve seen a lot of shifts in the market. Most of our day is spent dealing with technical specs and talking to engineers. It’s a very practical business. The Ballard Estate area is quite historic, so the walk to the office is actually quite nice, even if the building itself is a bit of a maze. We occupy a space that’s filled with old files and some newer computers, a mix of the old ways and the new. There are about a dozen of us here usually. We aren’t interested in making big claims about being the biggest or anything. We just provide the tools that other companies need to make their own products. It’s a lot of logistical work, making sure things get shipped to the right places. Sometimes the elevators in the building act up, so we take the stairs. It keeps us moving, I guess. We take our lunch breaks nearby and then get back to the paperwork. It’s steady work, and we’ve got a good rhythm going after all these years in the trade.
