Machine Tool Exports Company

Machine Tool Exports Company is based in the Paranjpe Building, specifically at 15 & 16 A, just off Subhash Road in Vile Parle (East). It’s a busy part of Mumbai, and being near the station means there’s always a lot of movement. We’ve been operating out of these two units for a long time. The space is mostly filled with crates ready to be shipped out and piles of export documents that need signing. It’s not a very quiet office because of the traffic on Subhash Road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend most of our time coordinating between the manufacturers and the shipping agents. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit overwhelming, but we just take it one pile at a time. The building itself is an older one, with a lot of character and narrow hallways. We don’t have any big signs or a fancy lobby to impress people. Usually, if you come to see us, you’ll find us drinking tea and arguing over a shipping schedule. We’ve stayed in Vile Parle because it’s a good location for getting things moved around the city. We aren’t interested in sounding corporate; we’re just a small group of people trying to keep the export business running smoothly every day. The elevator in the Paranjpe Building is a bit temperamental, so we often end up taking the stairs, which keeps us moving. It’s a simple life here, just managing the tools and making sure they get to where they need to go.
