Our spot is over in Mahim, specifically on Mori Road. We are in the G2 unit of the Sea Breeze building. It’s a bit of an older place, but it has some character. If you are looking for us, we are right behind St. Michael’s Church. You can often hear the sounds from the church grounds during the day. It’s a landmark everyone knows, so it makes giving directions pretty easy. At M K Welankar & Associates, the day usually begins with unlocking the gate and getting the computers started. The Sea Breeze building has been standing for quite some time, and it feels like home to us now. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a small group of us working out of this ground-floor office. The walls are covered with various charts and notes we’ve pinned up over time. Sometimes the sea breeze actually reaches us, hence the building name, though mostly it's just the humid Mumbai air. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or anything. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just says hello. It’s a practical space. We drink a lot of chai from the stall nearby. The office is often cluttered with folders, but we know where everything is. It’s not about looking polished for us. We just want to finish the work we have for the day and then head home through the Mahim traffic like everyone else.
