Sitting in the Sidhpura Industrial Estate in Kurla, our workshop at 55/62 has been around for quite some time now. It is a busy spot near Masrani Lane, right by the Halav Pool area. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know it gets quite crowded, but it is where all the work happens. We mostly spend our days dealing with different designs and making sure things get out on time. The space is usually full of fabric and people cutting or stitching. It isn’t a fancy office with glass windows, just a real place where we get our hands dirty. Sometimes the traffic on the way to the estate is a mess, but we manage. We’ve got a small team here. Most of us have been working together for years. We just try to keep up with the orders that come in. There is always someone checking a pattern or talking to a supplier on the phone. We don't really do much advertising. People mostly find us because they know the address or someone told them about what we do. It’s just regular work, nothing too complicated. We focus on getting the pieces right. If you ever walk through Masrani Lane, you’ll see the industrial units lined up, and we are just one of those tucked inside. We like it that way. It’s quiet enough to work but close enough to everything else we need. We just keep our heads down and finish the day's tasks.
