Lets Dance Academy

You have to climb up to the fourth floor of the Somji Building to find us. We’re tucked away in Kumbharwada over in Sion Koliwada. It’s not the easiest place to spot from the street, but once you get upstairs, there’s plenty of room. We’ve been teaching dance here for a while now. The floors are a bit worn from all the feet moving across them, but we think that gives the place some character. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we just open the windows and keep going. Most of the kids from the neighborhood come by after school, and we have some older folks who stop in later on. It’s a local spot, nothing like those big studios you see in the movies. We just put on the music and start moving. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so be ready to take the stairs if you have to. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. We just focus on the steps and making sure everyone has a chance to learn something new. It’s a noisy building with other businesses around, but we fit right in. If you’re looking for us, just head to number 198 and look for the sign in the lobby. We’re usually here until late most nights. Even when we are tired, the rhythm keeps us going until it is time to lock the doors and head home.
