Lazeez

We are located at Shop No. 78 in River Place, which is right on Hill Road in Bandra West. It is a very lively part of Mumbai, directly across from Yoko Place. If you have ever walked down Hill Road, you know how packed the sidewalks get. Our shop is usually filled with the smells of different spices and whatever we have cooking on the burners that day. It is not a very big space, so things can get pretty tight when the lunch or dinner rush starts up. The kitchen stays hot all day long, and we are always on our feet. We have been here for a good while, and we have seen many other shops in Bandra come and go. We stay pretty much the same. We have a few tables for people to sit at, but a lot of our customers just grab their food to take home. The staff is like a small family; we have our arguments when things get stressful, but we always pull through. The noise from the street is something you never really stop hearing—the car horns and the people shouting are just part of the atmosphere. We do not go in for any fancy decorations or lighting. It is just a plain place to get a hot meal. We spend hours every morning prepping ingredients so we are ready for the crowds. It's a loud, busy life but it's our life.
