Laxmi Chavan

My place is in Goregaon West, specifically inside the Sai Prasad Building. It is a very familiar spot for anyone who lives around this part of Mumbai. I have been working from this room for quite some time now. It is not a big corporate office or anything like that at all. Just a regular space where I can get things done without too much distraction. The building has a lot of history and you can always hear the street noise drifting in through the window during the day. Usually, the early mornings are the quietest time to get started before the whole neighborhood wakes up and gets noisy. Goregaon is always changing, with new shops opening up every month, but this building stays pretty much the same as it always was. I spend most of my day here handling whatever tasks are on my list. It is a simple routine for me. Sometimes people drop by to talk or to leave things for me to look at. I do not really go for all that flashy advertising stuff you see everywhere. I just prefer to do the work and let that be the end of it. Living and working in the same general area makes my life a lot easier. You get to know the shopkeepers downstairs and the people walking their dogs. It is a nice community feeling. The space is a bit crowded with stuff I have collected, but I know where everything is.
