We are located at Shop No. 5 in the Vinayak Building, right there in the Nilangi Cooperative Housing Society area. Being on B P Road in Kandivali West means things get pretty loud during the day with all the rickshaws and people walking by toward Kandarpada. We open up early, usually when the sun is just coming up, to start the prep work in the kitchen. There is always a lot of chopping and cleaning to do before the first person walks through the door. The shop isn't very big, but it fits what we need for the cooking we do here. Some days the humidity in the kitchen is a bit much, especially in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. We've known some of our regulars for years now, just folks from the neighborhood who stop in while they are out doing their errands. It’s not like those fancy places you see in the mall. Our floor is a bit worn down and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually, but it works for us. We spend most of our time just making sure the food is ready and the counters are wiped down. Sometimes the supply truck gets stuck in the Kandivali traffic, which slows things down, but that’s just life in this part of town. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us doing the work every single day.
