Lasya Dance Education Centre

We have been here in Malad West for a while now, tucked away in Shinde Nagar. If you know the Left Bhusari Colony area, you probably know where 41-B is located. It is just a regular spot where people come to learn dance. The space at Lasya Dance Education Centre is not very fancy, but it gets the job done for the students who show up every day. Sometimes the music is a bit loud and you can hear it from the street, but nobody really minds. We spend a lot of time just cleaning the floors and making sure the mirrors are okay for the next group. It gets quite busy in the evenings when the kids finish school and the adults come after work. Shinde Nagar has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of that. We do not have a big fancy reception or anything like that. People just walk in, change their shoes, and start practicing their steps. It is mostly about the practice and getting the moves right. The fans are usually running at full speed because it gets warm with everyone moving around. We have some old posters on the walls and a few benches for parents to sit while they wait. It is a simple place, really. We are just here doing our thing and helping people figure out how to move their feet to the music. That is basically what happens here at our little spot in Malad.
