You can find Lalit Associates inside the Jyoti Studio Compound. We’re near Kennedy Bridge in the Grant Road section of Mumbai. A lot of people know Nana Chowk, and we are just around the corner from there. Being in the studio compound gives us a bit of a unique vibe compared to just being on the sidewalk. There’s a lot of activity in the compound, with different people coming in for different things. Grant Road is always buzzing, and the noise from Kennedy Bridge is something you just learn to ignore after a few days. We’ve got the 400007 zip code, which puts us right in the heart of things. Our office isn't anything special to look at. We have the usual stuff like desks and some old cabinets for papers. It’s a bit cramped, like most places in this part of Mumbai, but we’ve organized it so we can move around. The building shows its age, and sometimes the lift doesn't work like it should, so we end up taking the stairs. We’ve known the other people in the compound for years. It’s a community of small businesses just trying to get through the day. We drink a lot of cutting chai from the stall nearby and watch the traffic crawl across the bridge. It’s just how life goes for us here. We don't need much more than a roof and a place to sit and think.
