Lakshmi Tools

Lakshmi Tools is a small shop located at number 18 in Andheri East. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a good while. The space is a bit cramped because we have shelves stacked high with all kinds of tools and hardware. It’s hard to find a clear spot on the counter sometimes. We get a lot of local workers and builders coming in to pick up what they need for their day’s work. We know most of our regulars by name. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street coming through the front door. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. Most of our stuff is just in the boxes it came in. Sometimes we have to dig around in the back to find a specific size of wrench or a particular drill bit. It’s just how it is. We try to stay organized, but when it gets busy, things get moved around. We open up early because that’s when people are heading to their jobs. By the afternoon, it usually quiets down a bit and we can catch up on restocking. We aren't trying to be the biggest store out there. We just want to have the right tool when someone asks for it. It’s a simple way to make a living. Most days we are just busy counting stock or helping someone find a specific bolt.
