Lakshmi Die Polish

Our shop, Lakshmi Die Polish, is tucked away behind the Gon Devi Mandir in Malad West. We’re part of the Jain Merchant Society area, which is usually buzzing with people and rickshaws going back and forth. Finding us can be a bit tricky if you aren't familiar with the small lanes, but once you see the temple, you’re almost there. We focus on die polishing, which is a lot of manual work that takes a good eye and steady hands. The workshop isn't anything fancy to look at. It’s a practical space where we have our benches and tools laid out. We’ve been here for quite a while, and the neighborhood knows us well. You can often hear the sound of polishing coming from our door throughout the day. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. It's just us doing the work ourselves, making sure every piece that leaves here is done right. Some days the heat in Malad gets to be a bit much, but we just keep the fans going and stay on task. We get a lot of local business, but some people come from further away because they heard we do a decent job without any fuss. We don't make big promises or use fancy slogans. We just take the items people bring us, work on them until they're ready, and call them to come pick them up. It’s a simple life and a simple business.
