Shadab Zari Art

Our workshop is No. 14/ 313 in the Mirza Compound on New Mill Road. We are located in Kurla West. It is a very busy area with a lot of small businesses packed together. At Shadab Zari Art, you will always find people bent over frames with needles in their hands. The work we do is very detailed and takes a lot of patience. The room is usually quiet except for the sound of thread being pulled through fabric. We have bags of beads, sequins, and rolls of metallic thread everywhere. It is a bit of a maze inside the compound, but once you find us, you will see a lot of beautiful work happening. The lighting has to be very bright so we don't miss a stitch. Kurla is always loud with traffic and people, but inside our space, we just focus on the art. We have been doing zari work for a long time. It is a skill that takes years to get right. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. People find us because they know how we do the work here. Sometimes we stay up all night to finish a special piece for a wedding or a festival. It is hard on the eyes, but we are proud of what we make. New Mill Road is a tough place to navigate, but it is home to us. We just keep working away at the frames day after day until the job is finished.
