Krispcold Enterprises

Our place is at unit 27 in the Dhamji Shamji Industrial Estate, which is right on LBS Marg in Vikhroli West. Being in an industrial estate means it’s always loud with the sound of big trucks and machinery nearby, but we’ve lived with that noise for years now. Krispcold Enterprises is where we handle a lot of the cooling and refrigeration work that keeps us busy. It’s a bit of a dusty environment because of all the construction and traffic on LBS Marg, but we try to keep our actual workspace as tidy as possible. The estate is a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, with all the different units tucked away, but once you find number 27, you’ll see we are usually in the middle of a project. We don’t have many walk-in customers since we are more of a technical operation, but the phones are usually ringing with someone needing a repair or a part. The workday starts quite early because we want to get the vans out before the worst of the Mumbai traffic hits. We’ve been in this specific spot for a while, and we’ve seen plenty of other businesses come and go around us. It’s a straightforward operation—we fix things, we put in new units, and we make sure everything stays cold. There aren't many frills here, just rows of tools, spare parts, and a couple of old desks for the billing. It’s a lot of hands-on work that leaves us pretty tired by the time we lock up for the night.
