Krataarth Architects

Krataarth Architects is based in Goregaon East, specifically in the Highway Commercial building. We are up on the fourth floor in suite 409. The building is tucked away behind the HP petrol pump, so it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main road. Our office is a bit of a mess with blueprints, rolls of tracing paper, and samples of building materials like granite and wood scattered around. We spend most of our hours sitting at large tables or in front of our computers working on designs. It’s a small group of us here. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy conference room; we just pull up a chair whenever someone comes by to talk about a project. Sometimes we have to go out to construction sites to check on how things are going, so the office might be empty for a few hours. The lift in this building is a bit slow, so we often end up taking the stairs. We’ve been in this space for a couple of years now and it suits us well. There’s a small window that looks out towards the highway, though you can’t see much besides the tops of trees and other buildings. We just focus on our drawings and try to make sense of the ideas people bring to us. It’s a quiet, steady kind of work and we enjoy the process of turning a sketch into a plan.
